egistration Open!
2024 MuleSkinner Race Date is Oct 19th.
Newly added Half Marathon!! Super flat and easy 13.1 mile half marathon distance added for 2024.
MuleSkinner registration is now open and closes Sept 22nd. Ya’ll seemed to appreciate the reduced registration pricing from last year so we’re sticking with it. For us, it’s about sharing the history and beauty of the Delaware River Towpath and not squeaking an extra dollar out of our runners. We’re looking to make the fifth running of the MuleSkinner the best ever…as if last year’s freak fall rain wasn’t simply perfect. A big giant THANK YOU to all the runners, race volunteers and sponsors as well as the good peeps who oversee and maintain the towpath on both sides of the river and make it possible for us to have such an amazing running course. The support and hard work done by all involved to keep these beautiful towpaths in great shape is worth of all the praise we can muster.
The 2024 MuleSkinner courses will be primarily on the NJ side of the river on the D&R Canal Towpath. The Pa side was hammered a couple years ago and crews are still hard at work repairing the damage. As always though, the race course will utilize the super scenic, historic, flat and fast towpath on the D&L and D&R Canal Towpaths.

Supporting local non-profits who work to preserve the special landscapes that we hold our races in is a key element in all Spirit Trips races. Our local non-profit benefactor for MuleSkinner is the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor. Their ongoing efforts to preserve and protect the scenic beauty and historic character of the canals and tow paths is commendable and deserving of our support. A portion of all race registration fees will be donated to them and we encourage all participants to do what they’re able to beyond our donations. This organization is truly worth it.
